Uptime guarantee and compensation

We promise your site is reachable 99.9% of the time each month. If we miss that, we pay you back ourselves. No claim to file.

How we measure

Every 15 minutes the system checks whether your site opens. An outage starts at the FIRST failed check, not at the moment we were finally convinced — otherwise the first minutes of a failure would never be counted.

Each outage is written as its own row: when it began, when it ended, how long it lasted. That ledger is visible to you on the service page: the month's uptime, the list of outages, and compensations already paid.

How much we pay back

Calculated from one month of your service's price:

  • uptime below 99.9% — 5%
  • below 99.5% — 10%
  • below 99.0% — 25%
  • below 95.0% — 50%

The credit arrives as a bonus on your wallet at the start of the following month, automatically.

Why as a bonus

Bonuses are spendable on any of our services but cannot be withdrawn as cash. That keeps a compensation a compensation, rather than a way to profit from downtime.

What we do not pay for

  • Suspension for non-payment — that is not our failure.
  • A freeze you switched on yourself.
  • Failures inside your own site: a bug in the code, a database that fell over, a wrong setting. We tell "the server is not answering" apart from "the site is answering with a 500".
  • Free services — there is no price to refund.
  • Blips shorter than 5 minutes: the check runs every 15 minutes, and something that healed by itself is not an outage.
  • A month is only counted once it has ended, and only from the moment the service was created.

If the compensation is tiny

Credits under ten cents are skipped — there is no sense in sending you a notification for that.

Only the party measuring uptime can see it. That is why both the figures and the list of outages are open to you on the service page: a promise nobody can check is worth nothing.
