A security check helps you spot weak spots in your account and site before they cause problems.
Where: the “Security” section.
What to watch:
- Whether 2FA is enabled on your account.
- Whether SSL is issued and the site runs over HTTPS.
- Whether there are suspicious sign-ins in the security journal.
- Whether CMS/plugin versions are up to date (outdated ones are a common cause of hacks).
- The strength of panel/FTP passwords and the absence of unnecessary open access.
Basic security hygiene:
- Enable 2FA and use strong passwords.
- Keep SSL and forced HTTPS.
- Update the CMS, themes and plugins; remove the unused.
- Make regular backups.
- Grant access via invites/SSH keys, not a shared password; revoke the extra.
If you notice a hack or suspicious activity — change passwords, check files for changes, restore from a clean backup, and contact support.
