Pointing a domain to hosting

For your domain to open the site on Orax, it must “point” to our server. This is done wherever the domain is managed (the registrar or DNS provider).
Two ways:
- NS servers (recommended) — set our nameservers on the domain. Then the whole DNS zone is managed via Orax, and SSL/records are configured automatically. Our NS are shown on the service page (DNS/settings section).
- A record — if you keep DNS at your current provider, create an A record pointing to your server's IP.
Steps:
- Connect the domain to the service.
- Set NS or an A record on the domain.
- Wait for DNS to update (a few minutes to a few hours).
- Issue SSL and enable HTTPS.
Check: if the site still opens “the old way”, DNS hasn't updated — wait. Find the exact NS servers and IP on the service page.
