Freezing a service

1 min read13.10.2026115 views

Freezing lets you pause a service temporarily — e.g. if the site isn't needed for now but you don't want to delete it and lose data.

How to freeze: service → “Settings” → “Freeze”.

What happens:

  • The site stops opening, panel/FTP access is blocked.
  • Files and databases are kept in full.
  • A frozen service still occupies disk space, so a small one-time fee is charged for freezing (a percentage of the plan price).

How to unfreeze: click “Unfreeze” — the service becomes active again (free).

Freeze vs suspension for non-payment: freezing is your deliberate action (a button, with a fixed fee); suspension is automatic after expiry without payment. In both cases data is preserved.

If the project is closed for good and the data isn't needed, use “Terminate” (full deletion).
