Managing DNS records

DNS records define where your domain and its subdomains lead, how mail is routed, and so on. If the domain uses our NS servers, you can manage records right in Orax.
Where: service → “DNS” section.
Main record types:
- A — domain/subdomain → IP address (where the site points).
- CNAME — an alias of one name to another.
- MX — where to deliver mail for the domain.
- TXT — confirmations and settings (SPF/DKIM for mail, service verifications).
How to add: set the type, name (e.g. @ for the root or www/blog for a subdomain) and value. Changes take effect after DNS updates (usually fast in our zone).
Common tasks:
- Subdomain to the same site — an A record or CNAME.
- Connecting external mail — MX + TXT (SPF/DKIM per the mail service's instructions).
Made a mistake? A record can be edited or deleted at any time.
